Hokusai manga Figure studies, some grotesque

Vol. 1, 1828 edition, diptych composed of two facing pages, complete with all margins, each image area about 5" x 7".

These figure studies demonstrate the original purpose of the Manga: to provide studies as examples for students of painting to follow.   Some soiling where pages were turned.
