	In the foreground a woman, inexplicably still wearing her tabi socks, tends her two children, while in the middle a shaven-headed nun shaves her face as well with a straight razor, and in the back a pregnant woman, wearing the traditional supportive sash.  See James Michener, The Hokusai Sketchbooks, p. 72.
