Work vest of striped cotton with applied sashiko reinforcement and button closing
Constructed of brown stripe cotton of the sort used for older men's kimono, this vest is lined with medium indigo cotton.  Across the front and over the shoulder is applied a strip of light indigo cotton with sashiko reinforcement in a lozenge pattern, the two sections joined with three loops for three dark blue buttons of an early plastic material.
The vest measures about 18 1/2" wide and 32" from shoulder to bottom edge.  The sashiko is worn as visible, and ties are present.
