Work vest of quilted cotton with sashiko and cotton reinforcement
The body of this vest is made of multiple layers of indigo cotton quilted together finely.  Over the shoulders and across the upper back a striped brown cotton has been applied, on top of which are strips of light indigo fabric with ornamental sashiko stitching in a lozenge pattern.
The vest is about 20" wide and about 29 1/2" from shoulder to hem.  The sashiko shows wear over the shoulder as can be seen, and remnants of ties are present.
