Futon cover in tsutsugakizome of phoenix, paulownia tree, and stream
	This dramatic futon cover depicts a phoenix with extravagant tail feathers gracefully approaching the paulownia flwers; please see our Japanese Design Motifs for the meaning of this design.  It has a deep indigo ground with attractively soft colors (see detail below), and has been made into a traditional Japanese two-fold screen with traditional black lacquer frame.
	Dimensions 51 1/2" x 61 1/2" overall, in four panels of traditional Japanese loom width.  Frame has 3/4" face and is slightly chipped and dented in places.  Black metal hanging holders are included,
