Policeman's coat of sakiori
A coat of dark indigo cotton sakiori bound with tan twill cotton, double-breasted with early plastic-like buttons with the holes reinforced with leather on the inside, as can be seen in the photo.  Belt loops are present, but no belt, and there is a back vent with two button holes, one button missing.   Inside the front lapel is a label identifying it as a police coat, and bearing the date Showa 10, 9th month, or September 1935.

The coat is strong enough to wear and measures 16" across the shoulders in back, and 43" from collar to hem.
